«Sans titre» est une présentation des compositions que l’artiste a réalisées en superposant des cartons d’invitation. Recouvrir ces noms d’artistes et extraire des sonorités d’onomatopées simulant un bruit particulier associé à un être nous amène à contempler une abstraction médiatique comme une note polyphonique. Publié à l’occasion de son exposition à la Bielefelder Kunstverein, ce poster improvisé de manière spontanée nous renvoie à la liberté de rigueur d’un travail qui cherche des repères au delà de son accomplissement conceptuel mais aussi dans sa forme.
Ce poster constitue le troisième fragment de l’ouvrage «The Split Show» après «Le poème de l’angle droit» de Derek Sullivan et «Embodied Truth» de Susanne Bürner.
“Untitled” by Aloïs Godinat presents the artist’s compositions made up of superimposed invitation cards for exhibition openings. He covered up these artist names to create onomatopoeias that simulate a particular sound associated with a proper name. The whole makes up a media abstraction. Published on the occasion of his exhibition at the Bielefelder Kunstverein, this poster, both accurately and spontaneously improvised, refers to the freedom, as well as the self-discipline within a work that searches for reference points both beyond its conceptual fulfilment and its form.
This poster is the third folio of the book “The Split Show”, and the follow-up to Derek Sullivan’s “Le poème de l’angle droit” and Susanne Bürner’s “Embodied Truth”.
